In June 2025, EUI’s Robert Schuman Centre, CMC, and the University of Denver co-organized a conference on The Liberal World Order and the Future of Transatlanticism: Tensions, Debates, and Critiques. Panelists convened in Florence, Italy and discussed topics ranging from the ongoing assault on the global liberal order to the agency of small states in the international arena and what causes illiberalism to be appealing.
